Widening with packageing

After some client's wishes and demands, I came to this solution. It should be detailed during the process.

Finally cleaning my own garden :). Trying to gain more space and better functionality with the updated furniture. Bigger fridge... Green furniture allready exist, also some of the gray once, I just need to combine them right with the new once. Also, the boxes above the table allready exist and they are allready fixed at this particular space. Radiator needs just a slight move, witch is not a problem. This dining table I allready have, just currently it's finish is natural wooden surface colour. I just need to paint it to black and it'll be perfect! For now :). The aspirator above the stove is missing in this picture...it definitely need more work out but seems to me this is pretty much better than current situation visually and functionally.

Just another apartment...

Just another apartment presentation that my company is building. This is not interior design project, the furniture is placed only in order to show reliable space of an apartment. And off course, it is suppose to be 'pleasant' for the eye. In another words: we are selling it! :)

The task here was to transform multi (small) room apartment into 'clear space' one. The client wanted to tear down some of the walls to gain wider space. The main problem was to divide new space and adjust it to the existing construction and installation block (near the kitchen) witch are not possible to change and at the same time avoiding long illogic hallways. 

By further workout on this apartment I've figured out that it can be even better 'packed'. The first change was the toilet that I didn't get the info about (I just got the drawings without the elements) - it can't be moved, although I've 'standardized' it since it was ridiculously small. The second thing the client wanted was the sink under the bar. Than I got to an idea that I could make two line kitchen, gain more space and avoid complications as thinking where would we move the radiators. They are at the same place just slightly moved. 

When you work as an architect you get all kinds of strange demands. This guy's demand was to make the entrance to the wardrobe from the hallway and he wanted to enter the bathroom directly from the bedroom. As I explained to him, wardrobe is usually used as tampon zone between the bedroom and the bathroom AND suppose to be private. I think I've convinced him this is a better solution, but just in case I'm giving him a glimpse of what his idea would look like and that can also be done (presented with red dashed line).

At the end, I gave him two variants of the hall. One with the wardrobe (for coats and shoes) for both him/his partner and the guests, and another one with those two divided.

Since he asked me so many questions last time we talked (he's not so good in understanding the space) I wrote him notes so he does :). They are in Serbian, I was really lazy to make the version in English and I all explained it above. :)

This design was made a year ago at my previous company. I was asked to design a guest house with the celebration room witch I proposed to be a fitness room when not using for celebrations. The client has most unusual request such as: he didn't want any windows on the walls that are at the edge of the property. The other request was, since he owns the land that's next to this land he wanted to have 'fluent' space between those two. That is the ability to connect spaces. That was arranged by the porch and the living room (11.) and the sliding glass facade. The client also wanted a salon which can receive 40 people for celebrations. Since it's suppose to be used just few times a year, I suggested that it can be divided by prefabricated movable wall which is dividing the salon into two rooms: one for chair/table storage, and the other one for fitness machines - facing the pool. At this part of the house there's a small kitchen not for cooking but as a base for delivering food right before consuming. The guest part of the house is pretty minimal but it was dictated by client's wishes and property's limitations. Bathroom and kitchen were switched in the previous variant (it can be seen in intersection) since it's better to have a communication between the kitchen and dining and it's not so good to face the bathroom doors from the dinning. Besides, it's more logic to place a bathroom near the entrance since it's used by the guests too. But, since the client wanted it this way, I used the new position of the kitchen to provide more natural light with a extra window facing the pool.
The roof is angled due to the intensive atmosphere conditions in Serbia (snow and rain). The house is positioned near Belgrade airport (the client is a flight supervisor working for JAT airways in Moscow).
The house is finished while I was already at the other job, but it's not nearly alike to design. The volume and the shape yes, the disposition of the windows, doors and rooms yes, but not the materialization and variations of door/window finishings, slight details and the quality of the way it was build I don't even want to comment. I'd rather not post the photo. :) It's strange how one precise drawing can be interpretated and 'seen' in so many different ways.

Atic adaptation

The aim here was to turn small area atic into usefull functional area. First limit were the instalations wich were dictating bathroom and kitchen position, the other was the shape of the intersection - the atic is partly under angled roof. Also, the entrance position could not be changed and the windows allready exsisted, so it was required to fit in the light and airness at the atic.



The chimney instalation was used for a fireplace positioned in the livingroom. The back of it has a small storage unit for wood placement.
The client was satisfied and concidering to add some extra windows after my recomendations. This will effect the design with small changes but for the better.

Hall wardrobe

The wardrobe with the sliding doors - one with mirror front and the other glass made, is very conviniant for small spaces and large storage. It has lot of sections for everything needed on the way out and when geting back home.

Design of an info pillon for the Panorama business center. About ten companies are positioned in it for now (not whole center is completed). The center was built by our company (Imperial gradnja) and the headquoters are positioned here as well (my office is here too :)).
The design was limited by simple construction wich was required here.
